"Bacon or Pastrami?" is Sassoon & Bentley's debut album, inspired by the duo's love of cultural diversity, jazz and meat. The album consists of 12 tracks, featuring Sassoon & Bentley as a duo (Amazing Grace), all the way up to a 12-piece (Georgia, Don't Set Me Free). Four of the tracks from their recent project "A tribute to the music of Ray Charles" feature on the album; the other tracks are regular contributors to their extensive live repertoire, performed as their own inimitable arrangements. The larger band arrangements come courtesy of tenor saxophonist/co-producer Iain Dixon (BBC Big Band, Joni Mitchell, Michael Brecker) The album was recorded in August/September 2009 at The Grand, Clitheroe, Lancashire; was mixed and mastered by D'Alchemiss, and will be made famous by anyone about to press the 'buy now' button. Thankyou.
Sassoon and Bentley promote equal opportunities for vegetarians; However the vegetarian band member would like to remain anonymous.
